In April 2022, the Clearsite Solutions team was tasked with carefully removing 100m² of screed flooring from the upper level of a commercial building in Tidworth, Wiltshire. And we only had two days to complete the job.
For new building works and renovations to begin, our client needed a clear floor - which meant having to crack into the existing screed and gradually move pieces out of the site.
Not an easy task, but in two days, we broke down and carefully removed around 100 square metres of screed detritus, working in a two-person team.
This two-person setup required one man breaking the floor down and the other clearing - switching roles in between to reduce fatigue and get the job done efficiently and effectively.
The job required more than a steady hand - the client wished to retain the underfloor heating system installed below the screed, which meant delicate chipping to avoid damaging anything below the surface.
We were able to break away, remove and clean up the whole screed floor without causing any damage to the underfloor radiation - great news for the building owners, who can now go ahead and develop on what’s left.
The client was thrilled with our work and looks forward to welcoming us back into their supply chain in future.
