Clearsite Solutions is often hired to clear out and demolish whole units or buildings - and the project at Sidcot School required us to break down and remove the old establishment in its entirety.
This undertaking required detailed and careful planning far ahead of the project's start date. Working to the site manager’s schedule, we split our team into separate areas to allow for various tradespeople to come into the project once we’d cleared away.
We helped to break down and clear away all fixtures and fittings, windows, radiators, block walls, plasterboarding, battens, insulation, doors and floor coverings. We made the effort to carefully remove additional radiators and walls in the building to help other tradespeople move in after us.
Sidcot School was a complex task - as there was no lift available to help us manage the debris, we manually handled detritus with an on-site skip and hired a telehandler to help with heavier loads.
Beyond the building demolition, we also hired extra support to help remove a 200-year-old tree stump. Given the age of the sensitive trunk, we needed additional help to carefully lift and store the plant elsewhere.
Another successful demolition! The Sidcot School site is now clear and safe to use, all within schedule - with landowners thrilled that they can now start developing afresh with no concerns.
