The Clearsite team loves a challenge, and our recent contract at Redcliff Quay saw us clearing out a fairly tricky office unit up on the fourth floor. As time went on, it was clear just how delicate we needed to be during this particular removal.
To start, this was a removal taking place in a building still in use! That meant we needed to be especially careful around other businesses on floors above, below, and alongside. Thankfully, this was as easy as communicating with managers to work out the least disruptive schedule possible.
Then came the physical challenges. Getting waste up and out of the building was the immediate issue - and without access to a skip, we arranged for small vans to continue ferrying debris away.
This was a thorough clear-out! We had to remove ductwork, flooring, partitions, and ceiling grids. Of all these, the ductwork required a very delicate touch - much of the wiring involved was live, and some ducts had to stay in place.
Treading softly, we cleared out the space without any accidents or errors. We built up a great relationship with the site manager, who was thrilled with our health and safety focus, timekeeping and attention to detail.
