Supporting our clients at Bath Cadets recently, the Clearsite team accepted the task of clearing and dismantling two floors, taking their occupied building back to its bare bones. However, we immediately faced a potential hazard - asbestos!
Given the health risks associated with this material, we worked with the site's team to close off the project area and continued our removal once testing finished.
This project required us to remove heaters, stud walls, ceiling grid, flooring, and radiators. It was a complex task that needed careful planning, especially as the parquet floors had block walls built on top of them provided some bearing challenges.
The team effectively cut back the flooring so it was flush with the walls - so the blocks held firmly in place. This meant considerable trial and error with different tools - but a specialist grinding disk eventually helped to save the day.
While this did add a little time to our schedule, we still cleared up and finished before the client's desired end date. They're thrilled with our work, communication, and project management - and we look forward to working this valued client once again.
