Retail Unit – Full Warehouse Strip-Out & Renovation

Unit 1B Gallagher Retail Park

Cheltenham

Clearsite Solutions successfully completed the extensive strip-out of a former Currys/PC World warehouse at Gallagher Retail Park. The project reduced the structure back to its four perimeter walls, overcoming significant logistical and technical challenges to deliver a safe and efficient clearance.

The scope involved the full removal of all internal fixtures, fittings, and installations. Every element was dismantled and cleared, leaving only the structural walls of the warehouse intact for redevelopment.

Logistics presented a key challenge, with skips located at a distance from the building. To address this, our team developed a routing plan using a dumper truck and employed a traffic marshall to manage the safe movement of materials across site.

The removal of the existing warehouse floor required the use of specialist equipment. A designated floor machine was employed to lift the surface cleanly, ensuring the underlying structure was preserved without damage.

All internal ducting was dismantled using scissor lifts. This operation was carried out with strict safety measures and attention to detail, preventing any disruption to retained structures and ensuring the safety of operatives.

The programme also included the controlled demolition of 200mm thick blockwork walls. These were carefully removed in sequence, with constant monitoring to maintain structural stability throughout.

The project was delivered on schedule and to specification, leaving the warehouse fully stripped and prepared for its next phase of development. The successful completion highlighted Clearsite Solutions’ capability to manage large-scale strip-outs and demolition works with precision and efficiency.
